  • My training includes basic physics models for atomic processes, computer code development and application to astrophysical and laboratory laser plasma experiments. My vision or ambition is to combine astrophysics and laboratory research, as was done in the “stellar opacity story”, i.e. the improvement of understanding of Cepheid variable pulsation by opacity theory and experiments (Rogers & Iglesias, 1994, Science 263, 50).
